Spanish media outlet Ufabet reports that Real Madrid have no plans to add a new centre-back in the January transfer window, despite the team’s problems in that position.

    “Los Blancos” have release Nacho Fernandez on a free transfer, while David Alaba is still recovering from a knee injury. He suffer since December last year and is expect to return to the pitch before the end of this year.

    The team recently lost Eder Militao while on international duty with Brazil in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. So the team may have to address the situation by using Aurelien Chuameni or Daniel Carvajal as a temporary centre-back. 

Real Madrid are said to be optimistic that the experience defender will return to full fitness over the next three months. While Militao should return before the end of September despite suffering a muscular issue during a Brazil training session.

Jesus Vallejo is still at the club. But the 27-year-old has not played a single minute of football for Los Blancos this term.

The centre-back is believe to have been told over the summer that he was not a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans moving forward. But he refuse to leave, with his contract having another 12 months left to run.
