Fabio Vieira has revealed that it was his decision to return to Porto on loan this season.
The 24-year-old impress for Porto after breaking into the first-team in 2020, and was sign by Arsenal for £32m in 2022, but has struggled for regular playing time and has struggled with injuries which have hampered his progress.
However, Vieira has been loan out to Porto this season and he has reveal that it was his idea to return to his old club to rebuild his confidence and develop his skills going forward with playing time again.
“The idea of moving back came from me, I love this club and I will give everything on the pitch,” Vieira told O Jogo.
“I’m happy, it’s clear this is my home. I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch, playing in front of the fans and doing the best I can for this club this season.”
“It’s an opportunity, above all, it’s what I want, to play ยูฟ่าเบท. I had a difficult time in England, playing and now I feel FC Porto is a good opportunity to grow and develop further.”

Vieira had fallen behind the likes of Leandro Trossard and even youngster Ethan Nwaneri in Arteta’s pecking order for this season, but could yet have a future at Arsenal if he can reignite his career at Porto.
